WHAT WE THOUGHT

I have some personal experiences to share about my visits to Dalmaland in the summer of 2023. I took my two energetic sons here twice, and let me tell you, it was an absolute blast!

On our first visit, we decided to go all out and rented sunbeds with a parasol in the beach area. It cost us a reasonable 12 EUR for two sunbeds and a parasol. The second time around, we upgraded to the cozy gazebo option (42 EUR), which added an extra layer of comfort to our adventure. We went with three moms and five kids, so one gazebo was enough for us.

One thing to note is that you can’t reserve these seats online; you have to do it at the park as you arrive. So, we arrived early to secure our spot, or else we’d be left with the option of laying our towels on the concrete, which didn’t look as comfy, to say the least.

My sons were absolutely thrilled by the slides, and they couldn’t get enough of them.

However, it’s worth mentioning that the waiting times were quite long, and the lines could get a bit chaotic at times. Kids and adults alike were eager to get their turn, and my boys often asked me to join them in line to ensure nobody pushed in front of them. It’s all part of the excitement, I suppose!

Dalmaland’s maximum capacity is around 1500 people, so you can imagine the buzz of activity throughout the day.

But despite the occasional line chaos, the overall experience at Dalmaland was a resounding success. We had a fantastic time, and the boys’ laughter and excitement were absolutely priceless. It’s a place that truly caters to families, offering a wide range of activities and attractions for all ages.

Ready to make a splash? Dive into the excitement and check out all the details on Dalmaland’s website.

2. Dalmatia Aquapark, Dalmatia (Used To Be Called Solaris Aquapark)

Dalmatia Aquapark, a true aquatic paradise, stands as the pioneering themed water park on the picturesque Croatian coast. Nestled within the heart of the Amadria Park Beach Resort in Šibenik (once called Solaris Beach Resort), this exhilarating water wonderland promises an unforgettable experience.

The undisputed star of the show is the lazily winding river, a crowd-favorite attraction that caters to both kids and adults. The park boasts not one but two captivating pool areas, a grand castle adorned with a plethora of slides designed to suit children of all ages, whimsical nozzles, playful sprinklers, exciting jet tubes, a refreshing splash pad, cascading waterfalls, a mischievous water cannon, and a treasure trove of aquatic delights that will keep you entertained for hours.

Dalmatia Aquapark can welcome up to 1,000 enthusiastic guests simultaneously. As parents unwind and soak up the sun, they can rest easy knowing that their little ones are under the watchful eyes of diligent lifeguards committed to ensuring the safety and security of all visitors.

For the youngest adventurers, the park features a dedicated kids’ zone and a magical fairy-tale cave, awash with a vibrant spectrum of colors that are sure to captivate young hearts.

Families seeking a day of aqua-filled fun can avail themselves of a daily ticket, granting access to sun loungers, parasols, locker rooms, and refreshing shower facilities. Worried about non-swimmers? No need! Life jackets are readily available for small children at no additional cost.

If you need refreshments, you’ll find a multitude of food and beverage stations scattered throughout the park, offering quick and tasty bites to keep your energy levels up. Dalmatia Aquapark opens its gates from mid-April to early October, providing ample time for water-centric adventures.

To make the most of your day and ensure you get the best value for your money, it’s advisable to arrive at the park bright and early. The daily pass remains the same price throughout the day, and seats are limited, so securing your spot in the sun is a wise choice.

For those seeking a more relaxed day at the beach, grab your towels and head to one of the five thematic beaches stretching over a stunning four-kilometer coastline.

This family resort offers a range of accommodation options, from three to five-star hotels, outdoor pools, shops, beach clubs, bars, and restaurants – making it an ideal destination for a truly memorable family vacation. Ample parking is available, but remember that it is not complimentary, so it is another incentive to arrive early!

WHAT WE THOUGHT

Dalmatia Aquapark holds a special place in our hearts, as my family and I have made it a yearly tradition for many years now. What draws us back time and again is its wonderfully laid-back atmosphere. While it may not boast the heart-pounding, thrill-packed rides found in some water amusement parks, it offers something equally valuable – a tranquil oasis without the hassles of long lines and the hustle and bustle of pushing and shoving.

One of the perks that we absolutely adore is the availability of free seating. Yes, you read that right – no extra costs or hidden fees. It’s a blessing for us parents, allowing us to comfortably set up our spot and keep a watchful eye on our little adventurers.

The park’s compact size is a major plus, ensuring that we can easily keep tabs on our kids, even when they’re in the midst of all the water-filled fun.

For us moms (and Dads, too), it’s a real treat to be able to relax in the free seating area, knowing that our young children are having a blast just a stone’s throw away.

Dalmatia Aquapark

There’s a sense of security and serenity that comes with the close-knit layout of Dalmatia Aquapark, making it a fantastic destination for families seeking quality time together without the usual chaos. The only downside is the water temperature is too chilly on cooler, cloudy days (we were miserable that day we went) as the water is not heated.

So, as we look forward to our annual visit to this delightful water park in Croatia.
