Dubrovnik is one of Croatia’s most popular tourist attractions. While there, check out these awesome bars in Dubrovnik.
Dubrovnik is one of Croatia’s most popular tourist attractions, and for a good reason! Thanks to its vibrant bar and nightclub scene, visitors flock to Dubrovnik from around the world during the summer months. While the winter months are less expensive, the Dubrovnik nightlife is best experienced during the summer.
Dubrovnik is a city that has something for everyone, so let’s take a closer look at the bars you should visit during your next trip to Dubrovnik:
Skip Ahead To My Advice Here!
Buza Bar
Buza Bar has already been recognized as one of the top ten seaside bars in all of Europe, so its inclusion on this list is no real surprise.
It is conveniently located just outside of the city and is perched directly above the sea. Patrons of this bar can enjoy breathtaking views, gorgeous sunsets, and a soothing sea breeze. While the drinks can be pricey, the bar is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and is a total must-see for Dubrovnik visitors.
D’Vino Wine Bar
Visitors would be forgiven for missing out on this unassuming wine bar, as it is tucked away, hidden in a small alley in the heart of Dubrovnik’s old city.
However, you will certainly not regret going there! Wines are served by the glass, and visitors have a wide range to choose from, with over 60 varieties available. D’Vino has a relatively small interior, making for a cozier overall experience, but an outdoor terrace is also on hand for those who prefer to drink outside.
Brands We Use And Trust
Lokal (Zupa)
The place to be on Thursday nights for locals is called “Lokal,” which is a part of the One Suite hotel; this place is excellent for craft cocktails, brunch, and small bites.
It’s one of the only places where you can find Titos vodka and an excellent espresso martini. On Thursdays and Saturdays, they have a DJ, and the place fills up pretty fast. But during the day, it is a quiet spot for coffee or brunch.
Casablanca
As you might expect from a bar named after a classic Hollywood film, there are plenty of movie posters decorating this popular haunt interior, located on one of Dubrovnik’s side streets. The bar is known for its steep steps and pillow seatings. Cocktail aficionados flock from far and wide to sample Casablanca’s roster of various creamy cocktails, as well as their stronger alcoholic beverages.
Sunset Lounge
The Sunset Lounge has panoramic windows and is set at Hotel Dubrovnik Palace, so it’s in an easy location. They also serve light snacks along with cocktails, the perfect place to watch the sunset.
Hard Jazz Caffe Troubadour
One of Dubrovnik’s most famous bars, the Troubadour, is known for its live jazz music scene. While coffee is no longer served after 8 p.m. and the drink prices are raised on the night of a gig, the Troubadour has no problem packing in customers. It is next to impossible during summer nights to find a seat unless you stake your claim during the early hours of the evening.
Cave Bar
The Cave Bar More is, as the name suggests… a bar in a cave. It sits below a great place to stay in Dubrovnik – a boutique hotel. Get to the bar via a staircase through a tunnel.
Culture Club Revelin
If you have ever dreamed of drinking in a nightclub that was also located inside an old fortress, the Culture Club Revelin is the place for you to be.
While its exterior may look intimidating, the interior is traditionally beautiful, making the club one of the most popular late-night spots in all of Dubrovnik. Travelers who are seeking a taste of Croatian nightlife should look no further!
Zenith Bar At Kompas Hotel (Lapad)
Not too far from Cave Bar More is another popular hotel bar called the Zenith bar within the Kompas Hotel. It is known for having an epic view of the sunset beach area of Lapad, right at the end of the Uvala walkway. They do weekly specials on cocktails such as raspberry mojito for 10 euro.
Coffee In Dubrovnik
Coffee culture is an integral part of Croatia culture, and especially in Dubrovnik. If you want to experience the city like a local, pick a coffee bar and sit outside chatting with friends for hours.
You may notice that the best places for drinks in Dubrovnik are “coffee bars,” which are coffee shops in the day and turn into bars at night. Here are a few of my favorites in and around Dubrovnik:
Gradska Kavana (Old Town)
If you’re looking to drink coffee with an epic view of the Old Town, Gradska Kavana is the place to be. It is one of the most popular spots in town for locals and tourists alike. The prices are a bit expensive, but it is worth the price for the upscale and environment and view. They also serve food and cocktails in the evening.
Art Café (Near Old Town)
Just outside the Old Town’s Pile gate is a funky coffee bar called Art Café. Decorated with eclectic decorations like bathtub chairs and old records, it’s an ideal hotspot for sipping a smoothie or cocktail while listening to deep house music.

Yes I have! So hard to believe it was just a few weeks ago
Thanks for the great suggestions. We travel to Dubrovnik often so always looking for new places to try. My favorite in Old Town is Pucic Palace. The wine bar is just around from the hotel entrance. Cheers!
Was in Buza original Bar 11 years ago. Love that place.
Oh I´d love to. Right now.
Yes I did a few weeks ago but unfortunately the staff were so very rude and it was difficult to get a drink even if we went to the bar ourselves. I know it was the end if the season but we were willing to spend our money and no one wanted to sell us a drink. So disappointed
Oh that’s terrible – which bar was it Karen?
