You are having a laugh when the Minstrel is described as a young man. Van Johnson was just too middle aged.
At least he was up for a spit roast with Batman and Robin. That really ended the first part in a heated climax.
The rotating spit really promised a hot opening. Unfortunately the Minstrel was out of tune for the rest of the episode.
He was hoping for regular ransom payments to his Swiss Bank Account ending in 007. A licence to print money.
Only Batman is no slouch when it comes to electronics and was soon on the Minstrel's bandwagon.
The ending was weak and then the Minstrel vowed revenge live on television. Van Johnson's performance really did hit a bum note.

His father Zachary Beck (Anthony Michael Hall) is in the oriental rug business but he has enhanced security. This includes a hostile man mountain Paulie, who takes an immediate dislike to Reacher.
By now the viewers know Reacher has the knack for finding trouble. Here there is a lot more to the opening scenes.
The pace slackens a little for the exposition but this looks like to be an exciting instalment.
